Dustin Crouch visited Georgia Tech on February 11-12, 2020. He was able to meet with his faculty mentor, Dr. Greg Sawicki, and tour labs in the Departments of Physiology and Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, Dustin was able to observe an experiment in Dr. Sawicki’s lab, present his research to several students and faculty, and meet individually with faculty members. Georgia Tech is building an amazing research environment around biomechanics and robotics in a space once occupied by Civil Engineering.
A week later, on February 19, Dustin visited Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, following an invitation from his colleague, Dr. Carrie Peterson. Dustin was able to meet with several faculty, tour labs, and present to students and faculty about his research. VCU has experienced amazing growth of its Engineering program, especially in Biomedical Engineering, and has many new, state-of-the-art facilities to support teaching and research.
